The West Philadelphia Partnership
The mission of the West Philadelphia Partnership (WPP) is to enhance the quality of life for those who live and work in the area. The WPP is UNI's biggest partner outside of Penn.

Jubilee Chocolates
This company began creating our all-natural gourmet chocolates in a friend's chocolate studio back in September, 2000. They are committed to making fine, French-style chocolates using fresh cream from a nearby farm and sustainably grown local flavors. Today Jubilee Chocolates are available in select gourmet stores and restaurants and can be shipped anywhere in the world. Jubilee buys mint from the UCHS garden and employs two students in the after school program as interns.

Farm to City
Bob Pierson's Farm to City works to connect farmers in Southeastern Pennsylvania with customers in the city of Philadelphia and its immediate suburbs. Farm to City organizes several farmers' markets throughout the city and also assists local farmers in setting up community supported agriculture (CSA) on their farms.

Southeastern Pennsylvania Buy Fresh, Buy Local
A partnership between several Philadelphia groups, the Buy Fresh, Buy Local Campaign seeks to educate people about the benefits of buying locally grown foods.

Slow Food International
Slow Food describes itself as "the exact opposite of fast food." The Slow Food Movement is a network of grassroots organizations seeking to reinstate lost cultural ties to food and meals, and to preserve foods in danger of being lost to the spread of globalization.

The Food Project
The Food Project brings together youth and adults to grow organic produce that is donated to homeless shelters and sold at farmers' markets. Youth workers and volunteers farm on 21 acres of land in rural Lincoln and on land in Boston that was transformed from vacant lots into lush, city farms. The Food Project is a place where people from all backgrounds join together to work for more livable communities.

Global Resource Action Center for the Environment
GRACE works to end the destructive and dangerous practices of factory farming and to promote sustainable agriculture. Reform of the farming industry would mean significant gains in many of these areas: health, food safety, economic justice, workers' rights, environmental integrity and animal rights.

Food Routes
An easy-to-use web site and network that helps you locate local fresh food. The site also includes kits that can help you educate other people in your community about the issue.
